Netball WA Pathway Success For Comets

Curtin Hamersley Comets Talent Development Program (TDP) athletes have been well represented in Netball WA pathway programs in 2021.

Metro League 2021

On 23 September 2021, Comets TDP Head Coach Janine Friday guided her team of talented 16U Division 1 Wanneroo Districts Netball Association (WDNA) representatives to victory in the 2021 Metro League competition.

With no losses recorded during the 8-week season, WDNA continued their strong performance taking home the Premiership against Fremantle in a significant 63–26 goal win.

State Cup 2021

On the weekend of 8–10 October 2021, several Curtin Hamersley Comets TDP players featured in WDNA team competing in the 2021 Netball WA State Cup.

Under the expert guidance of Comets TDP Head Coach Janine Friday, WDNA’s 16U team went through the pool rounds undefeated before coming up against South-West in the grand final.

The grand final was a hard-fought contest. Despite the final going goal for goal much of the game, WDNA came away victors with a 44–30 win in the last quarter.
