Curtin Hamersley Comets Netball Club are proud to announce that Nathan Clarles has been appointed President of Curtin Hamersley Comets via the Casual Vacancy process.
Nathan's name is synonymous with resilience, integrity and professionalism. As a former International Wallabies Rugby player he was believed to be the only person in the world with cystic fibrosis to play any contact sport professionally. Wallabies head coach Ewen McKenzie said; "If you look at the symptoms and classic outcomes of cystic fibrosis it's not a great scenario from a sporting point of view, but Charles seems to have defied science and defied logic."
Nathan has a keen interest in netball through supporting his wife West Coast Fever player Verity Charles and is eager to lead the strategic direction of Curtin Hamersley Comets. We welcome him on board and look forward to the future under his leadership.
