Curtin Hamersley Comets Netball Club (Comets) is appointing Board members to shape the organisation’s strategy and oversee our high performance program which involves Women's Open and 20U teams, a Men's team and our underpinning netball program Academy.
We are looking for passionate and roll up the sleeve “can do” candidates to inject intelligence, expertise and energy into the Club in the voluntary Board positions of Treasurer and Director.
Comets is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse high-performance environment led by best practice governance, sport delivery and player management systems. It is recognised that the on-court success of our teams is a reflection of an open and healthy off-court environment, where honest and compassionate communication is valued and personal and technical growth of all our members are at the heart of every interaction.
Board membership involves attendance at our monthly evening meeting, to review and support operations and set the strategic agenda. It also involves active participation in various aspects of the Club; at times providing leadership in finance, compliance and governance, operational reporting, events, high performance and coaching, human resource management, collaboration and integrity, ICT and communications. Every board member is required by Netball Australia and Netball WA to undertake annual online Integrity Framework training to comply with upholding the sports highest levels of integrity and compliance.
Therefore, if you are interested in either the position of Treasurer or Director, please assist us by providing a short resume and cover letter to indicate why you would like to join the Comets Board and what you hope to achieve within this high performance, busy and high volunteer environment.
